Nathan Upfal concentrates his practice in the areas of business law, mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions and leasing, commercial lending and corporate finance. Mr. Upfal was admitted to the bar in Michigan in 1984. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan (A.B., with High Distinction, 1980). Mr. Upfal was a Branstrom Freshman Prize Winner and an Angell Scholar from 1977 to 1980. He received his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School (J.D., 1984). Mr. Upfal has worked on a wide range of transactions involving the purchase, development, sale and leasing of commercial and industrial properties, and/or contractual agreements, with opposing purchasers, tenants or other parties including Chrysler, Faurecia, Hino, Renishaw, Incoe, Hirotec, Fischer America, Saturn Electronics, Emerson Electric Co., Recaro, Ritter Technologies, Toyota Boshoku, Tenneco, AM General, GrupoAntolin, MagnetiMarelli, and Magna International (Decostar Industries). Mr. Upfal has also represented clients in mergers and acquisitions including several transactions each having a purchase price or value in excess of $100,000,000.
